Can I record my computer’s audio, or just my microphone?

Both. Supercut records system sound alongside your mic, useful when the thing you’re demoing something on your computer that has sound. You can choose which microphone to use in the app before you hit record.

Can I use videos I’ve already recorded somewhere else?

Yes. Upload a file (up to 1 GB and 1.5 hour per video), or paste a Loom link in app or directly at supercut.ai/import/loom. Supercut converts it, applies your branding, and generates chapters, a summary, and AI answers automatically.

Is there a limit on how long or how many videos I can record?

Record as many videos as you want, there’s no cap on volume. Each recording can be up to 60 minutes long, and uploaded videos can be up to 1 GB and 1.5 hours.

Can I record part of my screen?

Yes. When you set up a recording, choose exactly what to capture: your full display, a specific window, a custom area of the screen, or camera only.

Can I record in any language?

Yes. Speak whatever language you work in, Supercut auto-detects it and generates the transcript and captions to match. Transcription is supported in 110 languages, you can set a default or change it per video.

Can I change the position of my camera during my recording?

Accepted Answer

Yes, but not during the recording. Your camera and screen are captured as separate layers, so you don’t need to think about layout while recording, pick and switch afterwards. This only applies to videos recorded with Supercut, not imported ones.
